On November 10th, 2018 CHADEFFECT volunteers returned for the 2nd year in a row to partner with the Cornerstone Shelter for Boys in what we call "Spread the Light" to give the boy's home a face-lift. We painted their kitchen and great room, and refurbished some of their furniture. Thank you to all of our generous benefactors and volunteers who donated their time, money, new chairs, beautiful artwork, kitchen supplies, as well as a delicious lunch.
Our CHADEFFECT Volunteers worked side by side with the residents and fun was had by all. This event was a great example of the important life skill of teamwork that we are always emphasizing with our young people.
We really enjoyed working with the boys of Cornerstone and the end result was awesome! The feel of the home was warm and inviting. The boys had a great time and our volunteers enjoyed spending time with them. So grateful for everyone sharing their time and resources.
This was our 2nd year working with the boys of Cornerstone in their home. Last year we dubbed our Cornerstone refurbishment “Renovation of Hope” where we did a makeover that focused on the residents sleeping space.
For those who don't know, Cornerstone Shelter for Boys #360youthservices is a short-term housing program for teenage boys who are unable to live with their families. Special thank you to all the good people at Cornerstone who allow us to support them in their mission. But more importantly, thank you for being there year-round to help our young people transition through challenging seasons in their lives.
