Basketball – it’s more than just a game. You work hard, you play hard, and you live life intentionally. Chad loved sports and Basketball was his favorite. He started playing AAU basketball at the age of 10, so having a fun and unique tournament for kids was an easy decision.
ChadEffect of Chicagoland started hosting the Chad Cooke Classic in the summer of 2015.
The event has grown every year, and boys and girls ages 9-18 are welcome to compete.
This 2-day event is different than other events. All players will get a FREE T shirt. Championship winners will be awarded for their success and the coaches and athletes will be encouraged and inspired with Our “Dream Board”. The Sportsplex is a state-of-the-art facility and sure to impress. This is an event that you won’t want to miss!
Here’s what one coach had to say:
We’ve attended the Chad Cooke Classic since year 1. We’ve traveled all over the country and my teams talk about this tournament more than any other. The competition is good, and the vibe and energy is what we love! This is not an ordinary tournament. Grateful to the Chadeffect and their dedication to helping athletes play sports.” Lamarcus Banks, Head Coach and founder West Suburban Dream

Testimonial

About four years ago, my team, the West Suburban Dream, and I played in our first ever CHADEFFECT tournament. After we won the tournament, Chad’s mother and father spoke to us about what the CHADEFFECT was and why the organization started in the first place. I remember listening intently and being amazed by everything Chad would do for others. From that point forward, I vowed to try to be at least half the person Chad was. I tried to always act with integrity and do the right thing at all times, even when no one was watching. CHADEFFECT really helped me understand what is important in life.
Chad taught me that service also includes random acts of kindness. Whether I was holding the door open for someone or grabbing a seat next to a classmate sitting alone, I felt encouraged to do these things because of the influence Chad has had on my life.
CHADEFFECT.org has made me a better person, and I am confident the impact this organization has had on me will be long lasting. I very much appreciate all that the Cooke's and the rest of the CHADEFFECT organization has done for myself and the rest of my Dream family.
